Innovative approach for training in shift work
Digital command vehicle for the Aachen city region fire department

At the end of 2023, we implemented an exciting digital training project for the Aachen city region fire department. This involves a new, digital training option for around 800 employees. Shift operation with 24/7 deployment times and compliance with rest and vacation periods pose a challenge for the organization of face-to-face training.

The Aachen city region fire department is now taking an innovative approach to training the two new command vehicles and has chosen us as its partner.

In order to familiarize the employees with the new vehicles before their first deployment, we digitally recorded the exterior and interior of the vehicles to create a digital twin. Integrated into a web app, this twin is provided with relevant info points and information about the emergency vehicle. Users can now call up the vehicle on all mobile devices and familiarize themselves with the new vehicles individually and before their first deployment.

An important addition to the face-to-face training program and a project that shows how useful and helpful digital solutions are.
